Having read all of Becky Wade's books, I knew it was only a matter of time before I picked up her latest. In Stay With Me, Becky takes the characters through some pretty heavy stuff, but does it all through the lens of grace and hope.
Genevieve is a well-renowned Bible Study author and speaker. She returns home to Misty River to uncover family secrets and attempt to overcome her dependence on prescription drugs. Sam spends his days running a farm and restaurant and is forced to face his past failures when he discovers Genevieve’s secret.
This book provides a fresh perspective on themes like addiction, loss, the Christian celebrity culture, public persona versus reality, and childhood trauma. But in the midst of all that, it’s a romance between two broken people who are finding joy through healing and forgiveness.
Highly recommend this book if you’re a fan of contemporary Christian romance. Becky Wade weaves together a sweet love story that has both depth and a hint of mystery.
